Day 1 of “The Struggle”

This post is actually for yesterday, Monday. I’m so sorry I didn’t get a post up. I was actually is major pain yesterday. I had worked out rather vigorously for 6 days in a row, (Tuesday-Sunday). And then I had my monthly massage on Sunday night. Needless to say, the nerve I pinched last Thursday was the least of the issues with my back. Medium pressure equaled so much pain I cried. I had numerous knots in my lower back and along my spine in the mid back. While the therapist did a great job, I had a knot the size of a baseball yesterday on the left side of my spine. I slept about 4 hours Sunday night because of the pain and I had a hard time moving around yesterday. So I spent most of the day reading.

So, we are starting today for real! I feel much better, the pain is manageable and I can move around pretty well. Swelling is gone and I slept phenomenally.

So far today, I have done chores and ran a couple errands. I am eating my first meal right now and thinking about dinner. I will be going to the gym this afternoon/evening. And I will post a re-cap tonight!

Also, I will be doing my measurements today because yesterday I was a big ball of bad juju. 😊

George Orwell once said, “When I sit down to write a book, I do not say to myself, ‘I am going to produce a work of art.’ I write it because there is some lie that I want to expose, some fact to which I want to draw attention, and my initial concern is to get a hearing." His statement perfectly defines my relationship with writing. I seek to uncover, expose and educate society on the issues we face as a country and as a world today. My background in English and History has given me the means and the knowledge necessary to understand what is happening and how to explain it to others. I want my career to take me into different parts of the world where I can continue to learn and grow in my personal life and my professional life. There is a clear separation between the people we could be and the people we are. I want to educate and promote the best in mankind. With this, only then, can we be truly healed and find the success we desire.
